A new tourism marketing program launches to promote tourism in the different regions of Manitoba
• Manitoba Pass is the only province-wide tourism marketing program that exists in Canada that provides free marketing exposure and customer acquisition services to both for-proft and not-for profit attractions and activity providers
• Now different organizations in the province and in each region can come together under one umbrella to be proactively marketed as year-round destination to both locals and visitors.
• By increasing foot traffic in the different regions, there will be a positive economic impact on the community as a whole.

Manitoba Pass is the first and currently only Canadian provincial tourism marketing program that packages admission to attractions and activities in different regions of the province. The goal of the program is to make it more affordable and enticing for locals and visitors to explore different parts of the province. This will provide new business for the participating attractions and activity providers, as well as an increase in economic activity in the respective regions. By packaging admission to various attractions and activities, Manitoba Pass now provides a mechanism to proactively market the province as a year-round destination to potential growth markets like visitors from the US, overseas, and out of province.

ABOUT THE PASS PROGRAM

• The physical Pass is a booklet that contains one ticket for each participating attraction or activity provider.
• There is no cost for the participating attraction or activity provider to participate, this allows for organizations of various sizes and marketing budgets to be supported by the customer acquisition and marketing efforts of the program.
• With numerous attractions operating as a non-profit organization, the free program allows for them to benefit from additional marketing support.
• The Pass program packages the group or incentive rates of the respective attractions or activity providers into a package rate that the customer purchases. This group or incentive rate is never disclosed thus protecting the brand and marketing efforts of the providers.
• As the Pass includes admission, the customer is more likely to use it to visit new attractions or activities, and also to travel to different geographical locations that may not have been top of mind.
• Current Passes include seasonal Manitoba Passes for the different regions such as a summer version operating from May to September and a winter version operating from October to April.
• The customer can use their Pass once at each attraction or activity during the validity period.
• When the Customer presents their Pass, they pay nothing extra. This makes it very affordable for families to be able to budget and still be active.
